The Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic makes history twice as he leads the team posting 45 points in a win over the Toronto Raptors.
The Slovenian star displayed a straight second monster game while scoring 45 points and filling up the stat sheet as he kept building his early-season argument for MVP honours.
It was the third 40-plus effort in the last four games for the NBA’s leading scorer (37.7 PPG).
The Lakers made a comeback after being defeated by the Golden State Warriors last week as Doncic put up a strong show contributing to a 131-125 win over the Raptors on Sunday, November 1, at Crypto.com Arena.
It is still unclear if Donic will return for the Monday game against the Miami Heat, as he hinted at a possible rest.
“I got to get rest, a cold tub, a massage, and rest and see you tomorrow,” Doncic said in a postgame interview with Spectrum SportsNet.
The big night arrived as Doncic made hisotry twice, giving Toronto fits, while also committing eight turnovers, swiping five steals and drawing three charges, becoming the first player to record those defensive marks in the same game since player tracking began in 2013-14.
