In his message, General Syed Asim Munir, while paying tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs, referred to the verse number 154 of Surah Al-Baqarah of the Holy Qur’an and said that Allah says: (Thusroon) Translation (And do not call those who are killed in the way of Allah dead, but they are alive, but you are not aware of it) This verse reflects the high status of the martyrs and the grace of Allah upon them.<\/p>\n

He said that on this day we salute the brave officers and men of Pakistan Army who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland, our martyrs are our priority and we remember our martyrs and their families. They know how to perform the responsibility of sanctity and safety well and will continue to do so.<\/p>\n
The Army Chief has said that the motto of Pakistan Army is faith, piety and Jihad in the way of Allah is not only our distinction but also our biggest weapon to deal with the ambitions of our enemies.
