In his message, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has said that today our army, navy and air forces, while fighting alongside the nation, crushed the evil ambitions of an enemy many times bigger than itself.
He has said that the great spirit of national unity and solidarity that was seen on the occasion of September 6 is a great honor for our armed forces and the nation. They are performing the duty of guarding.
The Army Chief has said that the unparalleled courage, bravery and professionalism shown by our armed forces in the battle of September are not only written in golden letters in the chapters of history, but they are a beacon for future generations.
In his message, General Syed Asim Munir, while paying tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs, referred to the verse number 154 of Surah Al-Baqarah of the Holy Qur’an and said that Allah says: (Thusroon) Translation (And do not call those who are killed in the way of Allah dead, but they are alive, but you are not aware of it) This verse reflects the high status of the martyrs and the grace of Allah upon them.
He said that on this day we salute the brave officers and men of Pakistan Army who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland, our martyrs are our priority and we remember our martyrs and their families. They know how to perform the responsibility of sanctity and safety well and will continue to do so.
The Army Chief has said that the motto of Pakistan Army is faith, piety and Jihad in the way of Allah is not only our distinction but also our biggest weapon to deal with the ambitions of our enemies. Equipped with professional skills, every officer and soldier of ours is dedicated to the safety and security of Pakistan with September at heart.
